Community gardens grow more than vegetables—they grow healthy neighborhoods and communities on the move. The benefits of community gardening are numerous:
Community gardens provide fresh, healthy produce, as well as opportunities for building community and physical activity.
Steps to a Healthier Cleveland, in collaboration with the Ohio State University Extension and the City of Cleveland, is working to create, support and enhance a number of urban community garden programs located throughout the City of Cleveland. All of the gardens are unique in size, purpose and in the amount of support and use they receive.
